Keith · 2 years ago(Almost) exactly the same as "Bubble & Squeak", which everyone living in London from the days of the War and the subsequent years of rationing will recognise. That was made with the remains of the one big dinner of the week, the Sunday roast, where the left over greens & potatoes were mixed together & fried in dripping. Wonderful!

Almost Vegetarian · 2 years agoYou know, mummy is English, so we had tons of English food - kippers, fish and chips, Yorkshire pud, and so on (matter of fact, I just introduced my husband to egg and chips), but I don't think we ever had that (although I've heard of it). Sounds lovely (if a bit fattening). Thanks!
